Frances Bloomfield is a UK based artist who currently works in three dimensional collage and mixed media. She has established a strong reputation as a contemporary artist working in a broadly Surrealist tradition. The photos above are from the exhibition ‘The Presence of Absence’ which runs from September 25th to October 4th 2026 at The Regency Townhouse Brunswick Square Brighton. At the heart of the exhibition are four chairs which are a collaboration between Bloomfield and Emily Beaumont.
Bloomfield is represented by a number of UK galleries and exhibits widely in Britain, Europe and the USA. She has also worked on a number of large scale design projects with her partner, Pete Fraser, whose print work is represented here in 'Limited Editions'.
