Frances Bloomfield is a UK based artist who currently works in three dimensional collage and mixed media. She has established a strong reputation as a contemporary artist working in a broadly Surrealist tradition. Recently Bloomfield had a solo show at Farley’s Gallery, part of the Farley’s farmhouse and Gallery, The Home of the Surrealists: Lee Miller and Roland Penrose.
Bloomfield is represented by a number of UK galleries and exhibits widely in Britain, Europe and the USA. She has also worked on a number of large scale design projects with her partner, Pete Fraser, whose print work is represented here in 'Limited Editions'.
I was asked by Liberty Gallery to write something for a post that the Affordable Art Fair were doing to support artists at this difficult time.
